The Golden Tallow was born out of a love to share natural, time-honoured traditional ingredients.

We pride ourselves on keeping the tallow pure and the benefits of the nutrient profile intact, which is why we small batch render at a very low temperature, over many hours.

The suet transforms into liquid golden goodness. Using only organic ingredients, we combine raw honey, jojoba oil and beeswax, creating an extremely nutrient dense and nourishing tallow, for you or a loved one.

What is Tallow?

Tallow is a natural, nutrient-dense fat derived from beef suet, valued in skincare for its similarity to human sebum and its capacity to deeply hydrate and shield the skin.

Contemporary research supports this age-old practice, confirming tallow’s effectiveness in supporting skin health, much like it did for our ancestors who trusted its restorative qualities.

Tallow's Benefits

Naturally rich in essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which aid in skin repair, elasticity, and regeneration.

It also contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) with anti-inflammatory properties, and barrier-strengthening stearic and oleic acids that help reduce redness and improve overall skin texture.

Due to tallows lipid profile being remarkably similar to that of human sebum, tallow integrates seamlessly with the skin’s natural barrier, promoting deep absorption and long-lasting hydration.

We are thrilled to share that we source our certified organic, grass fed & finished beef suet, from one of the most spectacular bio-gro farms in New Zealand.

Their cattle have never been treated with antibiotics, vaccines, or any synthetic pharmaceutical products. Furthermore, the land has never been exposed to synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, or herbicides.

Their animals are exclusively grass-fed, thriving on a diverse blend of nutrient-packed herbs, clovers, legumes and grasses. They are also free to choose from a variety of natural and organic minerals and trace elements to enhance their health.

Raw New Zealand Honey & Beeswax

We foster a pure and holistic approach to beekeeping, by honouring ancient traditions.

Our hives are situated along one of the most spectacular coastlines in the country. Nestled amongst many natives including manuka and kanuka.

A whole lot of love, patience and honour is given to these beautiful bees, as they produce the most gorgeous liquid golden goodness.

With honey being an absolute powerhouse of skin healing properties, we thought it would be the perfect combination to launch Honey Tallow as our very first product.

When blended with nutrient-rich organic grass-fed tallow, jojoba oil enhances the formulation with skin-balancing, sebum-mimicking hydration. It creates a deeply nourishing moisturiser that supports barrier function, soothes dryness, and delivers long-lasting, non-greasy moisture for all skin types.
